Your Right to an Interpreter
You have the right to a qualified interpreter, at no cost, for every school meeting and every important document. This is the district legal duty under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, not a favor. Ask in advance, name your language and dialect, and ask when you sign up for conferences rather than at the door. A meeting you could not fully follow is a meeting that is not finished.
